1969 Mercury Cyclone

Jean and I bought this 1969 Mercury Cyclone Fast Back with a 302 on July 3, 2012. Car had 55,500 miles and had been parked for at least 8 to 10 years (we thought). Body was in excellent shape with no rust. Car came with a title from Arizona. We found out that there was a problem with cylinder #1. We drove it for the rest of the summer and decided to work on the engine over the winter. We took the engine apart and found a lot of problems with it. We decided to have the original engine rebuilt. That was done over the winter and we did other work on the car. We got the car back on the road the beginning of May 2013 and it ran like a top.

Over the winter we found hood and eyebrow trim on eBay that were in better shape than what was on the car. We had those pieces refurbished. They turned out great and look super on the car. Going to take it to some car shows to show it off.
